In the 4th year of Spring League, this is the first year all higher ranked teams advance. Not to say it was not as intense as years past, it was and more. With no surprise upsets, consistency has been the key in the teams success.

In the 3rd-5th grade Spring League, #1 Purple PacMen was tied with the Singing Oompaloompas 1-1 at the half. Showing that confidence does factor into competition, they were able to score 3 goals in the 2nd half to while shutting down the Singing Offense to advance to the Spring League Championship game. Spring League veteran Katelyn KK Karpinski proves she knows how to handle the pressure of the post-season by scoring a hat trick.

#2 Blue Dog Bull Dogs shows that being a rookie doesnt mean they shouldnt be taken seriously. All season long they have steady and in the Semi-Finals took it to Cotton Candy with a big lead at half time of 4-0. Katie and Kayley were a good 1-2 punch on the forward line as Angie shut down the pink in the back. Kaeli and Milky were a scoring threat all season long but was unable to make up the damage the in the second half. They each added a goal but the BDBDs bit was worse than their bark.

The #5 ranked Mystery Color team bounced back in the Semi-Finals to play for 3rd place on Saturday. Catie and Kailey combined for 5 goals and 2 assists as they beat Team Green 5-1. Rena Israel had a great final game in goal for the season ending with 15 saves in the victorious effort. Team Green plays for 5th place and their first win of the season Saturday.

Team Red is carrying the momentum after their 2nd place ranking. 4th ranked Team Blue had a second chance to make it to the Championship game but was denied by a power packed Team Red. Nicole and Anna each earned a hat trick and Lydia added two to get ready for the Team Pink & Team Red rematch. Vibha and Maddy Snyder did their best to lead the team with a goal and assist each but it was not enough to advance. Katie Shidelers 14 saves couldnt deter the Reds desire for a medal.

In the very intense game between #1 ranked and undefeated Team Pink and #3 Team Violet, it was anyones game at the half. Team Violet took the lead 3-1 with 7 minutes in the half with a hat trick by Nicole Susi. However, a deep bench pushed Team Pinks Sarah Metzmaier and Megan Guzzardi to tie the game with 2 minutes remaining. Violets experience of Ched, Maggie, and Marissa proved tough for the undefeated team to handle as they came out dominating the 2nd half. Pink GK Maddy Dauer and Violet GK Chip had a GK stand off showing the stands who was the toughest GK on the field. It was Pink persistence of Megan and Erin that wore down Violet and earned 3 more goals in the half to take the victory and continue their quest to be the first team in Spring League history to finish undefeated.
